Fishing Report: June 7, 2021

With the summer weather finally here, the water is finally warming up from the unseasonally cold water temps we’ve had all spring. Bass and Bluegills are just starting to guard beds. The best fishing is still ahead of us.

Bluegills and Sunfish are staging in the weedbeds just outside of thier spawning areas. Expect to see many more bedding by the end of the week. It’s easy fishing with just a worm and bobber.

Bass fishing is better every day. Wacky worms and other soft plastics, Swim jigs, Chatterbaits and Spinner baits have all been working well.

The Walleye have started moving towards deeper water and most guys a switching over from trolling crankbaits to crawler harnesses. Look for them from 8-14 foot of water.

Crappie are now being found suspended in in 8-14 foot of water. Fish for them with a slip bobber about 4 foot below the surface.

The 10th Annual 2021 FREE SUMMER FISHING CONTEST has started and we’ve already had a great turnout. The contest started May 29 and ends on September 9, 2021. Fish must be brought in alive!
